Getting Money Advice

The Association must ensure that rents are collected regularly on time.  If rents are not paid this affects the Association’s ability to carry out repairs and provide other services.  It is imperative that you ensure your rent is paid each and every month.

If you do encounter any difficulty in paying your rent because of personal problems, e.g. losing your job, being ill, it is important that you contact your Housing Officer to discuss the situation.  The Housing Officer can also advise where you can go for further assistance.  In this way you can avoid building up rent arrears which you cannot repay.  The Association can also refer you to an independent CAB advisor who is based in our office.  This adviser can give you specialist advice and assistance, which is completely confidential.
