Come and visit us sometime – it’s well worth it!

The building renovated by Port of Leith Housing Association with funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund opened in August 2006 and provides facilities for families with children under 8. Many people who visited have commented on how well the renovation has been carried out and on the warm and welcoming atmosphere in the centre. If you have children under 8, why don’t you pay us a call?

What’s on offer :

Informal, Child Friendly Café

Open from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Monday to Thursday.
We have excellent soup with good quality bread, healthy cakes and much more.
Children under 5 eat for 50p.

Drop-In Crèche

£1 an hour. Maximum stay 2 hours.
Times are variable because we are fitting this round group bookings.
Phone us on 0131 553 0100 or drop in to the Centre to book a space.

Free Drop-In Crèche: for people attending appointments relating to health, employment, benefits or housing.
Bring your appointment card or letter to reception and we will book you in. Because our crèche workers are part time, please try and make your appointment between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., Monday to Thursday.

Three Advice “Surgeries”

Citizen’s Advice Bureau. Thursdays 10-12 Advice on a range of issues. No appointment needed.
Working Links, which gives benefits advice to people trying to return to employment. Thursdays 2-5. Please phone 0131 553 0100 for an appointment. Ask for Martin.
Job Centre Plus, again with a focus on returning to employment. Tuesdays10-12. Phone us for an appointment
