Port of Leith Housing Association is a Registered Social Landlord and, as such, is regulated by the Scottish Housing Regulator. We own over 2400 unfurnished properties in Leith and North Edinburgh at affordable rents for people in housing need. Anyone over the age of 16 is eligible to apply for housing with us.
We have a number of wheelchair accessible properties as well as three sheltered developments and amenity housing for people over the age of 50, some of which is linked to the community alarm service.
We participate in Edinburgh’s choice-based lettings scheme – Key to Choice – and our available properties are advertised each week on the Key to Choice website, in the Evening News on a Monday and in our office window.
To apply you must first complete the common application form used by the council and housing associations in Edinburgh called an "EdIndex" form. This is available from our office, council offices or can be downloaded at www.keytochoice.scotsman.com where more information on applying and bidding for housing is also available.
A blank copy of our tenancy agreement can be downloaded here and this gives you some information on your rights and responsibilities as a Port of Leith HA tenant. Our allocations policy can also be downloaded here.
