Money Advice - Financial Inclusion Project

From time to time people can find their finances a bit stretched. If this happens, we would like to help resolve any problems at an early stage. If you have any worries about paying your rent, please let the Housing team know so we can help you address the issue.

Working in partnership with Citizens Advice Edinburgh, a Money Advice Worker is based in our office (on a part time basis) to give impartial and confidential advice on, for example, benefits, arrears, consumer debts, utility switching etc.

If you would like to make an appointment, please call 0131 553 8745. This video gives information on the Money Advice project and advice on how best to get help for managing debt and other money or budgeting problems.

You can also seek advice externally from Citizens Advice offices around town (e.g. Great Junction Street), or the Advice Shop located on South Bridge. There is also a helpful online resource from the Financial Services Authority, the Money Made Clear website.
