SPONSORSHIP GIVES PANTO THE CHANCE TO SHINE

Port of Leith Housing Association (PoLHA) has sponsored Leith Community Theatre's pantomime Snow White and the Seven Leithers (oh yes it has).

The £500 sponsorship deal was the project's first piece of funding and acted as a basis to pull the production together.

Writer and Director Tony Delicata said:

"We were extremely grateful PoLHA got on board and behind the project at such an early stage. It gave us the funding and confidence to have a basis upon which to build our show this year.

"It means a lot the support is from one local organisation to another. Our aim with all our pantomimes is to bring together the community and make it really local to Leith."

This year's production has brought together other groups from the area; Acorn YMCA, North Leith Community Arts group and Telford College dance department.

Keith Anderson, Chief Executive of PoLHA, said:

"We are delighted to be supporting this notable event in the Leith calendar and wish the show every success."

Snow White and the Seven Leithers will be held at the South Leith Parish Church Hall and will run until December 23.
