Health and wellbeing

Our aim is to make the Association a place where people want to work. We actively promote health in the workplace. All staff have access to an Employee Assistance Programme which offers confidential counselling for staff on a range of work-related and personal issues. In 2011, the Association received a Bronze award through the Healthy Working Lives scheme.

Positive about disabled people

Port of Leith Housing has been awarded with the Two Ticks disability symbol. This symbol shows that we are formally recognised as being “positive about disabled people.”

The symbol is awarded by Job Centre Plus to employers that have made commitments to employ, keep and develop the abilities of disabled. We are audited every year based on five commitments:
